Tonica Grade School would like to extend a thank you to the following persons, organizations and companies for their assistance on a parking lot extension at Tonica Grade School. The following volunteers donated their time to the project: Al Leffelman, Dusty Freeman, Jeremy Hillyer, Chad Lambert, David Hillyer, Josh Kilday, Dick Strack, Ray Goodwin and 6th grade Tonica student Gus Leffelman. The project culminated in the pouring of 90 yards of concrete adding about 25 new parking spaces.
Funding for the project was through a very generous donation from the Tonica PTC along with funds provided by the Tonica School District. Materials, equipment or discounts were provided by: Advanced Asphalt – Princeton, Golden Rule Lumber – Ottawa, Mertel Concrete – Peru, C & H Electric and Construction – Tonica, and Riverstone Quarry – Oglesby.
